It was another beautiful day in Paris! The weather has been perfect -- about 75 degrees and sunny -- since we've been here so far. It's supposed to get hot this weekend, but in the meantime, I'll take it!
Today we had orientation with the WorldStrides Team -- everything from tipping culture (not expected because servers are paid a decent wage) to how to find your way around (always make sure you know the zip code of the place you want to go -- it helps you identify the "arrodissement" or neighborhood the location you are looking for is in)...and lots of odds and ends in between.
We took a river cruise this evening (that's where the Eiffel Tower pic is from at the top) and saw many cool buildings and bridges. I think doing a tour like this one from the land or the water early in a trip is a great way to get the lay of the land...and decide what you want to go back to later.
I also enjoyed the food a lot today as well. Lunch was super simple -- grab a sandwich and a sweet (+ a drink -- it was about $10 USD -- so seemed like a "deal" to me) and sit by the river.
Tomorrow we start classes in earnest -- first up, an overview of the US Health Care System so we'll have something to compare the French system to! I'm tagging along with Christy and family on a trip to Saint Chapelle after the class -- I can't wait to see all the stained glass.
